yes it's sad, the US actually "loans" the Israel government about 21.7 million this year, (14,000 USD per Israel citizen or so) to keep them afloat. The Palestinians are the largest refugee camp in the world 2 million. Israel is a tiny population 11 million, 5.2 in US and another 6 in the middle Arab country or so, but the poplation is dying off at a quick pace... it is a loose, loose situation for Israel and only keeping a mighty army will fend off attackers... they have managed to make their culture beyond criticism through influence in US/UK media and beyond.
The sad thing about Ms. Corrie is that the same bulldozer (driver I presume) killed a pregnant Palestinian women and her 18 month old child the week before.... Another sad thing (theory) is that Israel and the Palestinians are the both Arab (called Semites), but being the "chosen people" they will not have any part of that theory... sad and probably the truth, so there you go, I predict bad Karma for Israel (and the US), which will eventually catch up... and so the world keeps turning.
