I think people here have a specific attitude towards olympic games logos, mainly because a lot of designers are quite fond of the old 'swiss' logos.
But they were made in a different time, the world has changed a bit since then. The chosen logo represent the ethos of the olympics much more thatn the proposed ones in this thread that reflect more a 'design olympics' theme instead of a athletics/sports one.
And regarding comments about it looking childish, one of my tutors once told me "learn to draw like a child and everyone will love you"

i also wonder if i was liking Greg's submission as a designer.
I mean how much are we designer still able to value solutions that are perhaps stronger in concept but in a way (esp. to swiss standards) less esthetic??
