These guys seem to have a variety of the typically cheaper hotels (Super 8, Comfort Inn, etc) but they are all restored to look very beautiful.
I stayed at their Super 8 when I went earlier in the month. The place was nice, but stuffy & the water pressure was slightly poop since I was on the top floor...I'd recommend finding out if the hotel will let you open the windows.
...but it was 2-3 blocks from Times Square, a walk down to 5th Ave., one block over from Rockefeller Center & another 3-4 blocks from the library. And that's if you want to stay in Manhattan.
Brooklyn is WAY more interesting. And if you stay there you can take the subway on the bridge every time you want to go into the city.
There is just some major NYC fever around here. I know I'm planning to go back out there to stay for the summer & possibly the year as an educational break from school for some real world learning. School. Pfft.
