the soldiers are paid to do what they do. they are the policemen of US interests abroad. I'm pretty indifferent about our military. they know what they're doing and who they serve.
it's a job. just like the cops. you like em cuz they keep things from getting crazy but you don't care to know them or befriend them until they are protecting some of your own shit. then you like them.
