i hate that they're trying to sell PSP movies so if you have a DVD you want to watch on the PSP, you have to buy it again or make the copy yourself, which most people don't know about.

now, most people will either my their own movies or just not bother at all. so the PSP DVDs are not going to sell. which means that they're gonna make less. leading to people that actually would buy them having a limited amount of choices if they can find any.

certain studios now are selling their dvds in a package that includes a umd of the same film for a relatively small markup.

i think we'll see more of these in the future.

of course, the psp's main use is as a video game console, so who cares anyway?

umd movies aren't so practical now, but they may be soon when umd drives start popping up in other devices (possibly the ps3, home theatre components, computer drives?)
and at a much cheaper price.
