What I always have difficulty with, in the case of those who proclaim themselves to be christian is the readiness to revert to old testament style retribution.
(SORRY ALREADY but it illustrates the point perfectly)
Bush and Blair both claim to be devout christians. What interests me is how their actions fit in with their beliefs....
After all to call yourself christian you must subscribe to christs teachings, which to the best of my knowledge say
"when struck, turn the other cheek"
and not
"strike opponents with great force before they get a chance to strike you."
Can a devout pro-war christian shed any light on this quandary?
*I keep my true beliefs to myself because they are not open to discussion and invariably people want to talk about it.
