When Kant argued (rather powefully) for the existance of God. One of his key points was the "Ontological argument" which suggests that everyone is born with a sort of God-shaped-hole, if you will. A longing for a relationship with their creator.
The problem is, so many are trying to jam the wrong puzzle piece into the hole. Just my opinion.
