Rabattski you're right it wasn't only the domain name resolving problem. Here's what happened:
1) The domain name was still resolving. But the client was seeing the new site for two days.
2) Suddenly the page reverted back to the old site
3) Teh client when to his typepad account (that's what the old page was, a typepad blog) and turned the typepad domain mapping off. This caused a 404 for the old site. Here's a good article on it: http://www.jamiejamison.com/tech…
I only later found out that the domain mapping was deactivated.
