for an anti-theft device i usually leave a bottle of jack daniels in the front seat.
so, when the robber breaks in he sees the jack and decides to have a quick drink. next thing he knows he's been sitting in the car for an hour suckin from the bottle. then he passes out for me to find later and pull out of the car and run over.
works every time.
