Great work, very nice stuff you have in your portfolio.
I think it works well for what your trying to accomplish (all info on one page).
The following are just a couple of things I think might make it more useable:
1. the text at the top would be better as HTML, maybe 10pt. If you insist on using anti-aliased fonts then maybe bump the point size up a bit. It looks a little sloppy because it's blurry.
2. to enlarge the pictures, drop the pop up idea.. afterall the goal was to get all your things on one page, why pop up more windows?
To accomplish this, you could have the user click on the thumbnail, which would replace the 4 thumbs with the larger version... to go back to thumbs, simple click the enlarged image and your back again. Or, after the user clicks through each enlarged image (like they do in the pop up) they are brought back to the 4 thumbs.
3. not really necessary, but something to think about...
Your grid will allow you to free up another colomn next to your images... in addition, if you utilize the colomn that you have the magnify click in, you'll have a nice two colomn width to go into a bit more depth on the project. It's nice to keep it short and simple, But adding maybe 4 or 5 lines of descriptive text could really help the viewer appreciate the piece more, a bit of your process, and how it satisfied the intended goal.Your work is very strong, so of course the interface needs to play secondary to it... simple and clean.
