    moth - that's not the point though. He's not offering a critique of "culture". He's using the most extreme practices of certain peoples, that do no necessarily represent a wider culture of any people, in order to defend Britishness.

    In the end that's all his agenda comes down to. It's easy to sell that nonsensical agenda when it's presented as an attack on "female circumcision" and "forced marriages'. He couches his xenophobic nationalism in terms of altruism in order to sound more acceptible. But he needs to consistently narrow the debate to do this. And when you do that, when you narrow the debate for your political agenda like he does, all that is left is bigotry and prejudices - more often than not, of a racial dimension.
