well where do you draw the line between useless/worthless invention and bad/terrible invention?
i personally feel that the SUV was completely unnecessary, it does nothing that any other car on the market hadn't done before it. It is extremely wasteful due to the extra amounts of raw materials needed for its creation and low gas mileage. It is dangerous because people aren't trained to drive something that large, can't see half the stuff their about to run over in your typical city, and people behind them can no longer try to 'look three cars ahead' like they teach you in driver's ed.
That to me is a bad invention.
