FITC was very cool and inspiring and I would definitely return next year if invited.
NegativeSpace > thanks for the kind words about the work and the presentation...even if you were sleeping.
Citizen01 > thanks for the feedback. I am sorry that we ended up spending only 40 minutes presenting materials. One hope was that it would instigate a bit more discussion, but that didn't really happen. We spent a lot of time weeding out a bunch of shit that in the end we should have kept in the presentation. It seemed that everytime we reviewed the content we felt that some was just not applicable to the topic. We really did not want to treat the presentation as 'look at all of the shit we have done' for we have all seen these presentations before, but rather were trying to develop content and references that would help to push the ideas we are interested in. The bottomline for us was that we wanted people to think a bit differently about what can be done in flash and on the web with regards to dimensionalizing the experience. I would be more than happy to post the materials for you to spend more time with it if you feel slighted.
One last note to keep in mind...the admission for FITC helps to bring some amazingly talented people to Toronto, and although I cannot speak for any other presenters, we do not get paid to take three days from our schedule to come up there to present our ideas and work.
Next time, we will speak more slowly so that you feel as if you got your money's worth.
BTW > what is with Nick flashing the gang signs in every photo?
