most tvs have an action area 90% of the frame size and a safe area 80% of frame size.
all flatscreens ive seen display 96-98% showing much more than an average tv
i suggest you make a mask in your edit 80% of the frame size and make sure nothing important goes outside those boundaries
your edit program should have a safe area function that will bring up lines representing what i've just described
