i have a pretty cool alarm clock. it's a tiny transmitter that is hooked up to a small wire that holds up a 50lb rubber mallet above my bed. when the transmitter goes off it releases the wire and the mallet swings down and bashes my girlfriend in the head waking her up... which in turn wakes me up.
works pretty good.
