I was a bike messenger for a few years. We have recovered all sorts of stolen bikes for people. I'm assuming you are in the Boulder/Denver area? I know you have messengers there (my friend was one in Denver a few yrs. ago). Just let those guys know. They are out all day long and often see things that the average person does't see. It couldn't hurt.
It also is probably a good idea to inform your local police. You will definitely need to if you make an insurance claim.
Anyways, my two cents.
I'm real sorry that happened to you, and I wish you the best of luck.
By the way, if you have any good friends that work in bike shops, they CAN be a real asset when making insurance claims on bikes.
