We will never fully understand the bible, if we could, we would be God. I experience Jesus/God in my everyday life as a 'personal friend' and that's what matters. It's called 'faith' anyway, we're not talking about math (and even then we can't understand everything ;) ).
I just dare you to dare God to proove to you that He exists (I don't know if this is correct english...). Once you experience Him, all of a sudden these discussions become 'small details'. Not that I'm saying you don't need brains to be a christian but it's more than that...
