go to bergamot station in santa monica - some 30-odd galleries of awesome art/photography
go to fred 62 in los feliz/silverlake for 2am munchies. [get the bangbang.]
drive up to malibu for lunch, and sit on zuma beach... best beach ever.
venture into the heart of downtown - pershing square, grand market, skid row, garment district...
go to paladar for cuban food in hollywood, and nacional next door for drinks afterwards.
visit the standard hotel downtown. a bit LA cliché, but def worth it.
