This my very first port......anyway..
STAY AWAY FROM TOSHIBA!!
I got a Toshiba laptop over a year ago and I've had nothing but problems with this thing since the first week.
For example the computer does not shut down. it always restarts itself automatically every single time. I've had problems with the hard drive, the OS, the Cd drive, the screen (dead pixels) and a lot of shit inside the computer I didn't even know they existed.I have sent the computer 8 times for repair and everytime I was promised to get a replacement if the repair didn't work.....and of course they did not work and I didn't get a replacement.
The hard drive was replaced once, the cd drive 3 times, the motherboard....pretty much the inside of the computer has been replaced completely.
Plus, they damaged my computer a few times and returned it to me with those damages not fixed. They had to replace one speaker, the main body, the detachable kewboard because of their damages. It still has a couple of bumps they did not fix.Their costumer support is horrible. Their office is somewhere in the middle east, and their workers' accents hard to understand. I asked niely several times to replace it and they did not do anything about. We had many conversations and arguments and this didn't seem to work.
I had to finally complain with 2 BBS and the FTC, and never got a replacement. They have a really bad record with the BBS.
Right now it still doesn't work well. It shuts down everytime I use it. If use the internet it might last up to an hour without shuting down, but if I use photoshop it doesn't last more than 30 minutes.
Well, this is my experience, it might not happen to you, but can happen.
As to me I'll never buy another Toshiba product in my life.
