  Try Fire

  and
  iVisit lite ( the free version)

  iVisit will help if you decide to use an iSight camera.

  Fire is like Tilian for windows Thereis also Proteus whic i thinkis 15bucks but very nice. It allows multiple personality on mulitple protocols.. so if you are jekyl and hyde this might be your stage.

  and last but not least Adium
  well written and very clean.
