It's a little more complicated than I allude to. There is family involved...ergo, going against my gut feelings I did not secure 50% upfront or ask them to sign a contract.
I have myself to blame for this, but as I said - when family are involved and you are trying to do their company a favor by halving your costs you don;t expect shite like this.
Worth mentioning that said family member was not involved with the project because of our relations, and is the only one there with an ounce of a clue.
