design is trite for the most part anyway.
take it from someone who isn't a designer. users don't give two shits about your fluff brochure site.
we want information. we want it fast. and we want it as simple as possible. we don't care for browser and plugin dependency nor pre-requesits like specific resolution settings and broadband needs.
designers ruined a perfectly viable communication medium by trying to change it.
