My experience with reps has has some positives, but many disappointments as well. I'm currently looking for a new US rep (but don't tell my current rep that!).

This link has many good questions you should ask a prospective rep, scroll down to the heading "to rep or not to rep."

Remember that reps aren't doing you any favors and you don't owe them anything. They are looking to make money off of your work, plain and simple.

I've had US reps and European reps, but 90% of my income is still self-generated. I've talked with many illustrators and most are disappointed at how little work their reps actually bring in.

I could go on and on. But still, I'm looking for a new one now, so go figure.
