Im a big fan of the original, and the american version is painful to watch, particularly when they try to duplicate specific jokes from the original.
However, I think it is still more interesting and probably funnier than most other sitcoms on tv. I think it has potential to be good if it can get past the plot lines of the original and start doing new stuff.
