Try it and see how it goes - you just got it right? There'll be some growing pains, but if you make minimal modifications (like the image magick install) then things should be relatively painless.
One thing I would do though is get a straight answer from MT regarding their support policy, including whether or not they provide paid support.
Because if you start providing hosting to clients, that's a fairly serious responsibility - you need to know that your host is going to be their for you if the sh#t hits the fan; and you also need to know what to expect from your host if/when that happens ..
