Christianity is a lifestyle. It means to be Christ-like. Jesus was not Catholic, neither was Mary. Christianity did not come from Catholicism. It's who you are. If its only a label then of course you can get along fine with your significant other, its no different than if you have brown hair and she has blond hair and that being a source of tension.
