Mimio, I guess it goes back to the issue of morality being relative or absolute. Kind of depends one's overall world view and position on the dignity (or lack thereof) of human life. It seems to me that if moral issues like this are subjective, a culture will likely fall in on itself. Just my opinion, but I think past civilizations are testament to this.
