okay, first of all, when you asked me if you could call me ellie-phant you used improper punctuation:

vs.
can i call you ellie-phant?
so i thought you were asking if you could call me. had i understood that you wanted to call me ellie-phant i most certainly would have said no. so, the ellie-phant is banished! besides, this whole internet forum thing is supposed to be anonymous. i lose exactly 1% of my superhero powers everytime you refer to me by my real name.
as for the de certeau stuff, i think that it can be interpreted in that way. hang on a sec and i'll try to find you this amazing essay about skateboarders colonising post-modern architecture. you'd love that, too.
