    I don't think there is anything "STRIKING" about your website.

    I think it suffers from the same sort of "simpleness" as mine. Where mine is saved however, I think is in the use of big visuals i.e. work, photography--I think this helps to make the site feel "whole".

    Even though it has no visuals until they're triggered, the visual impact resides in the uniform use of elements i.e. type, line, weight.

    I think that if you "Step-Up" the typography at the left, it will help loads.
