Agreed. The audience does go beyond the students. It includes the people that are paying our dear NT friend here -- parents, admin., the school district, etc.

But hon, you are in Belgium. Your schools are different. I just came back from a schooling experience in Europe & experienced that difference first hand (I even mingled with high schoolers).

But perhaps that is aside from the point. The fact is, it is very unlikely that 100% of those students hate their school. Look at that cute picture database they put up. The fact that they had the desire to put the faces of themselves and their friends up on the school site & even use their own personal language shows that there is some element of a positive relationship between both the students and their school.

To say that all the students would dislike their school logo, no matter how cool, is completely ignorant. I hated high school, most kids do, but you bet that we bought our yearbooks every year possible, got the class ring, possibly got the varsity jacket (they tend to be available for purchase even if you are not in sports), or baseball caps.

But those that are in extracurricular activities are more than likely to have a great relationship with their parents, a strong comraderie with their fellow performers/teammates/peers, & definitely an enhanced relationship with their school. What might all of this amount to? Buying power. And teens have plenty of it. This generation of teens, which is part of my demographic generation (Gen. Y--2nd largest to the Baby Boomers) influences about $50 billion in family spending, after the fact that we spend $150 billion outside of that family influence. So, I think that some of those students just might buy a t-shirt with the hopefully super awesome logo that will be on it.

    'nuff said.
