scripted fer sure. i know there are plenty javascript versions for that effect out there, just transpose those to as or look for an already as built one.
my guess is that it slams the text line into an array, splits it, replace every letter by an mc that goes thru all letters to the appropriate letter. and if it's all done the entire row of mc's is replaced by the actual button.
