werd. i think most Americans here know more countries and capitals by name then the Euro's know about states and their capitals..

lemme see. during golf war 1 all the middle east maps in the us were sold out because almost no one knew where kuwait and iraq was.
oh and almost during every trip in the states there were at least a couple of people asking me where exactly in amsterdam is holland located.
i'd say it's 50/50. every nation has it's critical mass of stupidity to show it's stupidity but since the states is waaaaay bigger than holland it's more obvious.
