yeah, you def have to be lucky, like my friend, who has a nice size studio in west village with a private roof deck, for 1300...
in my building, people are moving in and out all the time. i used to live on 4th floor with my roommate, then when he left, i moved one floor up to a studio. no fee, no fuss. it was the easiest move ever. i love my apartment.
and speaking of sushi, i'll reveal all hidden places in nyc.
