Thing is, he's been doing that stuff for years, starting with the CKY stuff. Bam has got to be making really nice money these days, and I think the last two houses they lived in he bought for them. He bought his dad a new suburban when he flattened his old van.
He drives them nuts, but I think it's obvious they're a very loving family. If you see the old CKY stuff the parents wanted little to do with it. It's really cool to see them grow with the show and realize they can tolerate it a bit more because Bam is also doing nice things for them...Especially tricking out his mom's PT Cruiser with a fog horn and tons of subwoofers! :D
