I work in-house for a record company. It's pretty cool and the job is reasonably secure. I get to do pretty much what I like, but there's no experienced creative director I can learn from. I work with some pretty cool brands, but the budgets can be quite low. Also the job prospects are only ever going to go so far - eventually it will be time to move back into agencyland I reckon. Working in-house is definitely good if you fancy a break from shaky businesses in the real world, and you can build some solid porfolio if you work in the right kind of company.
