GO BUY A FIREWIRE CARD.
DON'T EVEN FUCK AROUND WITH USB2 EVEN IF IT'S A NEW COMPUTER.
Just save yourself the trouble. You don't need to reformat, and go through all that hassle. Just make sure you have the latest update on your ipod. Buy the firewire for PC by Belkin.
Your problems will be solved!!
