i recommend ( in addition to the previous mentioned books) titles by friends of ed
http://www.friendsofed.comgood basic stuff... search around there site a bit, actionscript for mx2004 is a good book, also check out orelly's flash mx 2004 hacks...
has some nice little snippets of code/technique....
