Seattle doesnt have the most expensive houseing market (check san fran, new york, san diego, LA if you really want to never buy a house). It is a renters market up here right now with the low intrest rates flying around recently. Tons of move in incentives.
Dont live in Freemont., it isnt the artsy community it once was; its going down hill fast...the place to live now is Ballard or Capital Hill...hands down.
Seattle rocks. Best city ever...employment is competative right now...and even though Forbes rankes Seattle as the "Most Overpriced City in the US" but dont let that keep you away. Good luck.
