ok; first off i like a lot of your work, but the site can be much better :)
i'm not sure why this is in shockwave....
peter saville's site has the same problem IMO; so i guess you're in good company, but the level of interactivity you have here does not seem to justify the use of Shockwave. One person here has already had a problem loading it. The requirement of a shockwave plugin is just another barrier between users and you work.
It maybe wants to be in flash.
That said, all of the sqaures read as buttons, but only some of the (the ones with numbers inside) function. If no project is associated with one square, just remove it to avoid confusion.
Also try to make the menu at the upper right "pop" more. I want to see it stand out a bit more.
