I saw Huey Lewis perform spoken word poetry at Francis Ford Coppola's cafe in North Beach. It was the funniest thing. Seriously, imagine Huey in a beret on stage with a black turtleneck and Maynard G Krebs jazz background ambience, and all these old hipsters yelling "Get Down brother" to really bad verse. If it wasn't for the merlot and Francis on the patio puffing bowls, I think I might have heckled him by throwing a biskit or jumping on stage and playing air guitar like Michael J Fox.
