    I was looking at it from the point of view of Nike ticking all the 'right-on' boxes and whether that is enough to convince the cynical trainer buyer of the added-value qualities of the product or whether their capacity as a shoe manufacturer can contribute to 'sustainaibility like stealth'. i.e. if their regular customers shift to the more sustainable product by virtue of the provider there may be ecological gains or will the 'rebound effect' kick in. etc etc

    To be fair Nike have been working hard on improving the environmental performance of their products - testing the 5000+ chemicals in their products to screen out the most most harmful etc etc but until the 'considered' issue are integrated into the core business this is just another sideline

    ..........anyway, I can't think of any nicely designed nike shoes so that shouldn't be an issue.
