everything affects everyone differently. just because you listened to hardcore gangsta rap, were molested as a child and played mortal kombat every day and grew up sane doesn't mean everyone else will.
though i also understand the flip side of this, where there are people like this who were born with a silver spoon in their mouths and had a great childhood - so theres no clear cut expanation.
but still, there's something to be said for moderation.
