society demands mediocrity (this all goes back to standard post-structuralist theory and the maintenence of the simulacrum). when an individual refuses to nestle right down into his cosy 6-hours-of-tv-per-diem-pint-o-la... crisps life, then we have to figure out why.
there's a reason that "add" and "adhd" never existed before the advent of cable television. that's all i meant.
of course, i can see a completely opposite point of view, as well. it's entirely possible that cable television and refined sugar are singlehandedly responsible for what we have decided to refer to as "add".
point being: i don't reckon mx has it.
