Actually, it won't matter. Older OS's like 95/98 don't recognize ram higher than 512 I believe, and even then preformance difference is minute from 512.
I'm not even sure it will care if it has 512.
There is much more to a well tuned system than a lot of RAM.
Why are you still using 98?
