  I just bought a G5 and tried to stuff in some Kingston sticks, but it refused to boot. After reading through the Mac forums, it seems that the G5 is very picky with what ram it works with.

  Goto Crucial and pick up yourself a few sticks of 512mb. They are like $71 each.
