i as a vinyl junkie.
:)
best record store i've ever been to in my life was in my hometown of peterborough ontario,....a place called moondance records.
they had these awesome t-shirts you could buy with a rick griffin design, that said 'vinyl junkie'
gawd i love that store..
used to be a hippie clothing store back in the day, then mike the owner brought in a crate of records one day and the rest is history..
they moved locations years ago, and the new spot, while bigger wasn't quite the same..
i mentioned that to the owner and he smiled whistfully and said..
'yeah...we're gonna have to smoke a lot of weed in here to get the right atmosphere again':)
i spent every penny there when i was growning up..
tons of pink floyd..there entire catalogue basically...from the early stuff, including shit like zabriskie point, to momentary lapse...
all on vinyl..
some excellent bootlegs as well...anyhow..
i don't have a turntable anymore, and i gave most of my vinyl collection away sometime ago..
still have the rare stuff tho..
just can't seem to let it go..
