does it really matter that its the lowest watched sport? why is that relevant? because of friggin espn's got nothing else to talk about and 24 hours and 3 networks to fill - a buncha geeks, sitting around crunching numbers and they report it as news. remember that the tampa bay bucs couldn't win when the temp was under 40 degrees? (they don't mention that shit anymore - after they beat down the packers in GB and then won the stupor bowl) and remember when all they talked about was how the NBA has overtaken the NFL in popularity? JUST BECAUSE MJ was all over the TV in Nike ads? that didn't last either. And then this NFL season with all the numbers and Payton Mannning et al. Football aint about numbers! Baseball is, not football - numbers in some sports are irrelevantĀ .

polls asking america about the nhl are misleadingly ignorant.

the best idea I heard was that the nhl needs to drop 8 teams (good bye Atlanta Thrashers) and subsidized the Canadians teams - keep them afloat and make sure they start kicking some american ass so its starts a healthy rivalries.

    and boycott sportscenter.

and go watch NASCAR because I hear america loves NASCAR and that means it must be good (or maybe just marketed well).
