2. America is a bigoted, patriarchial and sexist country
Not really breaking news...but I have become utterly horrified at how objectified women are here. Listening to some of the radio stations around Denver (which by the way are mostly owned by the fascist and conservative right-wing bush supporting Clear Channel Corporation), there are so many ad's talking about Monday Night Lingerie Basketball, Women's Mud Fighting, etc..It's as if most people here got stuck in the early 80's with regards to their attitudes towards women. This must be the only country left in the world that still uses thin, pretty, tanned, bikini-wearing girls with big breasts to sell beer. Land of the Free indeed - if you are a single, white, heterosexual, sports loving, beer drinking alpha male. Arse.
