don't quit on a whim. Make a decision and prepare towards it. give yourself a month, 6 weeks or whatever and start working towards it. if you are going to go freelance give yourself a cushion, say three months rent and try and set up contracts/contacts while you are fulltime.
Spend the last month or two at your job working two jobs then make the shift full time if you like it.
That's all the sensible stuff.
As for should you stay or go, I reckon if you are asking this question you already know the answer.
Lifes too short to waste it working for nobjockeys.
