It's expensive, look for Kensal Rise, or maybe Queens park, they're quite central and probably cheaper than Shoreditch.
Acton & Shepards Bush are quite cheap compared to more central locations.
It's going to cost you an arm & a leg to rent a place, at least £1000 a month for a 1 bed flat, a bit less for studio flat.
Plenty to do in London, there's no one area where evrything is, there's loads of places with bars and clubs to explore.
South London's ok.
